Solutions for Active Shooter/Hostile Incidents

Active Shooter Incident training

We developed C.A.S.T. (Comprehensive Active Shooter Training), which incorporates the "Run-Hide-Fight" methodology, as recommended by the FBI and the Department of Homeland Security, with other relevant and necessary features.  Like Situational Awareness, emerging trends, risk factors, violence in the workplace, OODA loop,Cooper's color coding, Planning, Terrorism, when Law Enforcement arrives, Family Reunification Centers, Recovery and more.  There is no more complete training available on the subject.

*Statistics has shown that Active Shooter Simulations can cause PTSD, mental trauma and in some cases, physical harm.  For those reasons we don't do those, but instead, you will receive the appropriate training on what to do and how to do it, with the resources available at your location.

Active Shooter Exercises and Drills

We can design, facilitate and evaluate different types of exercises including:

  • Drills
  • Tabletops (TTX)
  • Functional
  • Full scale
  • Seminars
  • Workshops
  • Virtual
  • After Action Reviews (AAR)

We use the HSEEP methodology (Homeland Security Exercise and Evaluation Program), and OSHA guidance.

Situational Awareness Training

Situational awareness is the perception and comprehension of one's surroundings or situation, coupled with the ability to project future events and make informed decisions based on that understanding.

Our instructor is certified as Situational Awareness Specialist - Advanced Practitioner

Situational Awareness training is included in our C.A.S.T. training, but it can be facilitated as a stand alone training.

Active Shooter Plans and Annexes

Our experienced planners can Design, Revise and Test different types of emergency plans including:

  • Emergency Response Plan
  • Emergency Action Plan (OSHA)
  • Hazard Specific Annexes
  • Evacuation Plans
  • Recovery Plans
  • Improvement Plans

*We utilize and follow FEMA's CPG-101 guidance (Comprehensive Preparedness Guide)
